Mr. Ioannis “John” Rigas is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the Sciens Group of Companies.
Prior to co-founding Sciens in 1994, Mr. Rigas held positions in the financial firms of E.F. Hutton & Co. and D.E. Zilkha & Co. Mr. Rigas graduated from Colorado College in 1986. He earned the Certified Financial Analyst level 1 certification in 1991.
Mr. Rigas has 35 years of professional experience in the global financial services industry managing funds investing private equity and real assets.
In his capacity as an asset manager and investor, Mr. Rigas and the Funds that he or Sciens advises have clients in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Clients include public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, private banks and wealth managers, and wealthy individual investors and families.
