Deputy Commissioner, Operations Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior
Appointed in 2015, David is responsible for operations in Reclamation’s 17 western states, including its five regions, Native American, international affairs, technical services, hydropower, dam safety and infrastructure, and research & development programs.
David joined Reclamation in 2005 and has held a variety of leadership positions. Prior to joining Reclamation, David worked in the private sector managing engineering and operations projects.
He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from UNLV, a MS in Civil Engineering from Columbia, a BA in English from Notre Dame, and a MA in English from UNLV. He is a licensed professional civil engineer.
