Shannon Marquez


Dr. Marquez holds a Ph.D. in environmental health sciences and engineering from the University of North Carolina, Gillings School of Global Public Health; a M.Eng. in civil engineering from Texas A&M University; and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Prairie View A&M University.

Research Areas: increasing access to water and sanitation in underserved communities; WASH-related burden of disease; gender equality and access to water; water, energy, and food security nexus; empowering women and girls through transformative WASH.
