Dr. Jeongwoo Hwang is a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. His research primarily focuses on understanding and predicting hydrometeorological extremes and their impacts on water systems, combining the science of hydroclimatology with water management and data science.
Dr. Hwang received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from The City University of New York - City College. Prior to joining North Carolina State University, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist in the Department of Earth and Environmental Engineering at Columbia University.
