Matt Harrington is fifth-year PhD student in Sustainable Development and a 2021 Job Market candidate. He received a BA in economics and environmental science from the University of Virginia in 2016 where he specialized in environmental and biological conservation. After graduation he worked for a year as a research assistant investigating the effect of ground water pollution on economic and health outcomes in Rajasthan, India.

Research Areas: machine learning and Bayesian statistics, resource usage and water scarcity in developing nations
